Using different types of pasta got me thinking about the ways in which I could convert pasta into textiles and enable it to not look like pasta. After replicating Urs Fischer's 'house of bread', first out of shreddies and then in knitting, I decided to do a similar sort of thing with pasta. Spaghetti and noodles are very malleable and bendy after cooking them, so I spent my wednesday night attempting to knit/crochet/plait/knot these little strings of pasta. It wasn't the most successful of my endeavours as the spaghetti in particular kept breaking. However these pictures document some of my experiments...
